Howard P. Barnhart died upon admission to the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, Pa., on Saturday night of a heart condition. He was a resident of Star Route, Hancock.
He was born March 20, 1870, in Belfast Township, Fulton County. Pa., the son of Otho and Lucinda (Mann) Barnhart. He was a member of the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Church. On September 20, 1905, he was married to the former Marietta Breakall, and the couple farmed in Plum Run, PA.
Surviving are widow and these children, Mrs. Ida Belle Wills, Hancock; Mrs. Margaret Barnhart, Sykesville; Mrs. Cora Smith, Hancock, R.D.; Mrs. Alma Fisher, Hancock; Milton Barnhart, Berkeley Springs, W. Va.; Eugene Barnhart, Hancock; also one brother, Ira Barnhart, Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; 34 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. from the Tonoloway Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael Horst officiating. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be at the Cress Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, Pa., tonight and Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
