Ivan Foss, one of the earliest pioneers of Auburn, died last Saturday morning. Mr Foss had been suffering for some time from an old trouble and was operated on at soda Springs, but in his weakened condition he did not rally and passed away Saturday morning.
Irvin was 68 years of age, was born in Maine, and later settled around Woodruff, Utah. He was one of earliest pioneers of Star Valley, coming here nearly 50 years ago. Most of the time he has lived in Auburn. He was a fine violin player in his younger days, and many of the older people of the valley remember his orchestra.
Funeral services were held at Auburn last Tuesday and he was buried at Auburn.
