Mrs. Maude Warren Kennedy, age 88, of Traphill, widow of Hardin "Claude" Kennedy, Sr. died Monday, March 15, 2004 at Britthaven Nursing Home.

Funeral services will held Wednesday, March 17, at 2:00 at Old Roaring River Baptist Church with the Rev. James Pardue and Rev. Mac Warren officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Kennedy was born in Wilkes County, August 11, 1915, to Henry Young and Mary Elizabeth Royal Warren. She was a member of Old Roaring River Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kennedy is preceded in death by her son, Frank Kennedy

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by two daughters, Ola Norman of Traphill and Mary Agnes Higgins of Mustang, OK; four sons, H. C. Kennedy, Jr. of Traphill, Johnny Kennedy of Hays, Willie (Bud) Kennedy, Roger Kennedy both of Harmony; two sisters, Mattie Hollis of Hays and Fay Harris of Traphill; one brother, Buell Warren of Wilkesboro; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren.

The family will receive at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home from 6:30 until 8:30 Tuesday, March 16, 2004
