Dewey was the 13th child of Adelbert and Maggie Lewellen Flower and youngest brother of my grandmoher Blanche Mina Flower Hogg. He married Ardes Inez Regan on October 6, 1930 in Weiser, Idaho and they had a family of four daughters Winnie, Virginia, Beverly, and Farrell and one son Dewey. He took over the guardianship for his mother when my grandmother Blanche was relocated to Roseburg and her mother did not want to relocate. After his divorce he went to Roseburg for a time and stayed with Blanche and Frank before leaving Oregon around 1955 for California. He left to be near his sister Winnie and brother Gene, but then lost contact with his family. He was aparently found deceased with no identity on him so was buried in a mass grave in Los Angeles by the county as a John Doe. It was later discovered who he was and the John Doe Death Certificate was changed to reflect his name. His daughter Beverly located the information while doing an extensive search for her father after becoming an adult, marrying and having a family of her own.
