Matthew N. Patton, son of Samuel S. and Amanda Patton and formerly of this county, died at Redlands, California, February 25, 1926. His death followed an operation for gall stones. The deceased was born at Hagers Grove and was about 66 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by two children; two brothers, Samuel S. Patton of Clarence, and Timothy H. Patton of Fresno, California; two sisters, Sarah A. Bachstein of Fresno and Dollie M. Jones of Columbia; and a half-sister, Mrs. Rachael Hall of Montana. The children are both residents of California. The burial services ere held at Redlands, California.

MATHEW N. PATTON
Funeral service for Mathew N. Patton, who passed away here Feb. 25, will be held at the Todd & Reeves chapel, this morning at 10 o'clock . Rev. W.C. Geyer, pastor of the First M.E. church, will officiate. Interment will be made at Redlands, in which city Mr. Patton had resided for about 20 years.
