Delta Courier- Tuesday, February 20, 1934-Pioneer Lady of this county passed away- Remains of Mrs. T.B. Dawson laid to rest Sunday afternoon-Mrs. Sudie Amanda Dawson, wife of the late T.B. Dawson, passed away at her home in the Cedar Creek Community Sunday at 3PM. Funeral service was held at the home Sunday at 3:30PM, conducted by Elder Rogers of Commerce. Internment took place in Dawson Cemetery by the side of her husband, who preceded her in death a few years ago. The deceased was 81 years old the 29th day of last January. She is survived by five sons, as follows: Bruce Spencer of Cross Plains, by a former marriage, and four sons by Mr. Dawson, Hilbert, Carl and Albert of Cedar Creek and Clifford, living east of Greenville. A son by each marriage is dead. The children were all present at the funeral service except Bruce, who had just returned home after being at his mother's bedside. Mrs. Dawson was one of Delta County's pioneer citizens. She moved to this county fifty-five years ago and has since lived in Cedar Creek community. The following six grandsons were pallbearers: Raymond, Weldon, Howard, Carl, Kenneth and Waldo Dawson. Honorary pallbearers were John Boyd, George Taylor, Will Ewing, Henry Chestnut, Redmond Simpson and Will Grant.
