Miss Emma S. Swingle (sic) and Arthur Lobb, both of Clay Center, Neb., were united in marriage at 3 o'clock in the court house Wednesday afternoon by Rev. G.P. Trites.

The couple arrived from Clay Center in the morning and returned today.

Harvard — Emma Schwingle Lobb, daughter of George and Helen (Anthes) Schwingle was born July 4, 1881, in Marshall Township, Clay County, Nebraska, and passed away June 18, 1976, in the Aurora Hospital at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 14 days. She was untied in marriage to Arthur Lobb January 18, 1911, and to this union two children were born, one son and one daughter.

She was a life long resident of Clay County and for several years was employed by Holcomb and Johnson Poultry Industries. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Order of Eastern Star, Degree of Honor and U-Go-I-Go Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and five sister.

She is survived by her son, Bernard of Grand Island, and her daughter, Wilda Gerdes of Clay Center. One grandson, Ron Lobb of Lincoln and three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were held in the McLaughlin Funeral Home of Clay Center at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, with Rev. Royce Buchtel officiating. Miss Carol Lobb, organist, played "How Great Thou Art" and 'Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" was sung by soloist, Mr. Leonard Dana. Interment was in the Clay Center Cemetery.

Pallbearers wer (sic) Maurice Shane, Robert VonSpreckelsen, Steve Yost, Maurice Briggs, Bert VonSpreckelsen and Lester Nelson.
