May Ellen Blackburn, 76, of 916 Judson Ave., an Evanstonian for 60 years, died Thursday morning in Evanston Hospital.
Mrs. Blackburn is survived by her husband, George E.; five daughters, Mrs. Etta Ahlbeck of Escondido, CA, Mrs. Margaret Nelson of the Oak Crest Hotel, Mrs. Catherine Hanhart , 1303 Elmwood Ave., Mrs. Betty Ahl, 918 Judson Ave., and Mrs. Mary Wood of Barrington; five sons, Edward G., 736 Reba Place, Robert M. of Sacramento, CA, Charles, a master sergeant stationed with the Army in Korea, Jerome, of Chicago, and James. 1000 Elmwood Ave.; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Heidemann of Chicago, twelve granddaughters, and eight grandsons.
Services were Saturday afternoon at the William H. Scott chapel with interment at Memorial Park.
