He was the olfrdy son of Thomas H. Gideon and Helen Meora (Spear) Gideon.

He was a farmer and cattloeman all his life. He was well known for the fine Percheron horses he bred and raised. Just like his father, he also raised Registered Hereford Cattle near St. Clere, Kansas. In 1948, he retired a.nd moved to Topeka, Kansas. Mora and Alice celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 19, 1957, at their home in Topeka. They were members of the Methodist Church at Emmett, Kansas.

Mora Elwood drainGideon was born January 11, 1883 at Adrain, Kansas, married Alice Ruth Franz, June 19, 1907. Alicd was born May 1, 1887, the daughter of Anna Euora and John Charles Franz. She died November 8, 1959.

He married Verna Steckler in 1961, she survives in Oklahoma City, Ok. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Alice L. Figge, 1947 Meridenreva Road, Mrs. Treva Borgeson, Berkeley, Calif., and Mrs. Isabelle Kelly, San Jose, Calif., a step-daughter, Mrs. Verna Undenberger, Route 1, Topeka, three stepsons, Russell Steckler, Richmond, Va,
