Adelaide Staiano was born March 28, 1872 in Italy (most likely in Vietri sul Mare). She married Gioacchino Citeralla about 1894. They had a daughter, Trofimena, in 1895 and in 1897 the family immigrated to America. Adelaide was pregnant with a second daughter, Annie at the time. They settled in San Francisco and had 2 more daughters, Lucy and Mary. During the Earthquake of 1906, they were forced to leave the city, and were rescued by boat from a cousin living in Sausolito. After that they settled into a small fishing community, Collinsville, on the Sacramento River. At some point around 1915 the couple split up and Adelaide raised her 4 daughters, living in Collinsville until her death at age 86 years. She worked as a housekeeper for the Chief of Police. Next to her is buried her dear grandson, John Olivieri, who died at a young age.
