Annie McLawchlin Edwards, 95, of Ferriday, died Wednesday, June 25, 1997 at Denham, Springs.

She was a retired sales clerk and long-time member of Ferriday First Baptist Church where she was in the T.E.L. Sunday School class for years. She was born in Rapides Parish on January 19, 1902.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 27, at the chapel of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Revs. Roger Johnson and Charles Heltman officiating. Interment followed in the Jena Cemetery under direction of Young's Ferriday.

Survivors include one daughter, Hazel Edwards Young of Jonesville; one sister, Lula Cooper of Walters; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her five grandsons, Kenneth Young, Tom Young, Bob Edwards, John Young, Eric Stampley, along with LaDelle Sandifer, Wilburn McLawchlin and Brant Barnette.
