Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and special friend, Vera Davis Cummings, died in Heber City, Utah December 20, 1996 at age 92, causes incident to age.

Vera was born January 26, 1904 to Raymond and Matilda Faucett Davis in Wallsburg, Utah. She married Thomas Rex Cummings December 24, 1921. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death November 23, 1980. Vera was a life-long resident of Heber Valley, growing up in Wallsburg and then moving to Heber after she married. She and Rex owned and operated a small farm in Daniels, where they weathered the Great Depression. In 1951 they sold their farm and moved to Heber where she has lived until her death. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family, especially her three sons and her grandchildren. She took great pride in her yard. All who came to her home remarked on her beautiful flowers and garden. In her later years, when it became impossible for her to keep the yard up herself, her sons made sure every flower and blade of grass were manicured. She loved to sit out and enjoy the gardens and attempted to care for the plants right up to her death. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She was a member of the LDS Church and Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

She was the proud mother of three sons: Thomas Ray Cummings (Wanda); Rex D. Cummings (Betty); Kayle Cummings (Deanna), all living in Heber. She was a loving grandmother of nine, and 26 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Opal Olliver of Pleasant Grove, Utah. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rex; two brothers and four sisters.
