Norene Rose Brandt, 86, of Fairbury died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 9, 2008) at Alden Poplar Creek Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Hoffman Estates.
Mrs. Brandt was born Nov. 2, 1921, in Cropsey, the daughter of Louis A. and Lillie Kerber Brucker. She married Kenneth Brandt at St. John's Rectory, Fairbury, on June 21, 1941. He died June 24, 1988.
Surviving are two sons, Steven (Nancy) Brandt, Hoffman Estates; and Gerald (Debbie) Brandt, Fairbury; four grandchildren, Sara (Andrew) Bellizza, Eric Brandt, Jason Brandt, and Greg (Bobbi) Brandt; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Taylor, Kincaid; and one brother, Bernard Brucker, Fairbury.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, two infant sons and one infant daughter.
Mrs. Brandt was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fairbury and its altar and rosary society.
