A funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Monday, September 4, 2006 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fairbury with Father Scott Archer officiating. Burial will be at Cropsey Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00pm Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury where a rosary will be recited at 4:45pm.
Mrs. Cooperider was born February 4, 1923 at Cropsey, IL. The daughter of Louis and Lillian Kerber Brucker. She married Wendell Cooperider October 2, 1943 at Gibson City. He survives at Fairbury.
Also surviving are 2 sons: Robert Cooperider, Phoenix, AZ, Stanley (Sue) Cooperider, Springfield, IL, 2 daughters: Beverly Bratcher, Lexington, Reta (Phillip) Thames, Mackinaw, 2 brothers, Lawrence Brucker, Cropsey, Bernard Brucker, Fairbury, 2 sisters, Noreen Brandt, Fairbury, Virginia Taylor, Kincaid, IL, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by 4 brothers, Everett, Ronald, Lyle and Harold in infancy. 1 sister Dorothy Kerchenfaut, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Cooperider.
Mrs. Cooperider was a 1940 graduate of Cropsey High School. She had been employed at the Fairbury Hospital and was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
