Julian Randolph Anderson, 82, died Thursday, December 25 at his residence in Augusta. He was a native of Bulloch County and had lived in Augusta the past 30 years. He was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Augusta. He retired from Anderson Steel Erectors Construction and the Seaboard Coastline Railroad.
----He was predeceased by a daughter Carolyn Colson; his parents, J.C. Anderson Sr. and Mamie Brewton Anderson; step-mother, Nannie Lou Anderson; and a brother, J.C. Anderson Jr.
----Surviving are his wife, Juanita Anne Anderson of Augusta; two daughters, Wanda Loftin of Columbia, S.C. and Brenda Shimel of Augusta; two step-sons, Ray Holmes of Augusta and Ricky Holmes of Richmond, Va; two brothers, William Brooks Anderson and Carroll M. Anderson, both of Claxton; two half-brothers, Embree C. Anderson of Statesboro and Larry S. Anderson of Claxton; one half-sister, Jewell Kennedy of Claxton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
----Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 28 at 3 p.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Perry Shelfer officiating. Burial was in Brewton Cemetery.
----Pallbearers were Carroll and Darry Anderson, David Boatright, Gary Tippins, Bobby Moye, and Howie Colson.
----J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
