He was born May 24, 1926, in Trimble County, Ky., the son of Leo and Mary Lee Chandler Andrews. He was a retired plumber, having worked for A-1 Plumbing and Heating for many years. He was a 50-year member of the Western Fire Co. 3, where he served as an engineer for several years. He was also a member of Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nettie Mae Callis and Leona Alexander; and three brothers, Herman, Barney and Lawrence Andrews.
The funeral was at Vail-Holt Funeral Homes Downtown Chapel. Burial was in Springdale Cemetery. Military honors were conducted graveside by the honor guard of Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion.
