Audrey Lee Andrews, age 85, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Hickory Creek at Madison in Madison, Indiana. Born February 1, 1934 in Madison, she was the son of Everett and Louise (Helt) Goins. She worked at James Grocery on Second Street, Sample's Ice Cream, Murphy 5 & 10, and Conn Organ. On May 9, 1969, she was united in marriage to Winifred M. "Whitty" Andrews in Madison, Indiana. Her memberships included First Baptist Church and Ladies Fireman's Auxiliary.
She will be sadly missed by her sisters and brothers in law: Helen Smith, Mary and Jim Duncan, Margaret and Paul Carlow, Sherrill and Jim Holt and Karen Thomas, all of Madison; her brothers and sisters in law, Richard and Mary Ann Goins of Saint Marys, Georgia, Charles Goins of Madison and John and Wanda Goins of Madison; her sisters in law: Mary Jo Goins and Sue Goins; eight nieces, 13 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Winifred Whitty Andrews in 2008; her sister, Mabel Guthrie in 2006, her brothers: William “Pinhead” Goins in 2013, Benjamin Goins in 2016, and Daniel Goins in 1986; and her brothers in law: Clifford "Bud" Smith, William "Jean" Guthrie, and Wayne E. Thomas.
Reverend Randy Crutchfield will conduct funeral services at 6:00 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, on Madison’s hilltop.
Friends and family may call at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2019.
Private Graveside services will be Thursday March 7, 2019 at Springdale Cemetery.
