Born in Lafayette on January 3, 1925, he was the son of the late Henry W. and Hattie (Berry) DeBoy. He served as a medic in the Army Airborne Division for 3 years during WW II. He married A. Lounette DeBoy on April 5, 1947 and she preceded him in death on August 1, 2002. He worked in the extraction department at Ralston Purina for 37 years, retiring in 1983. Mr. DeBoy enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
