Mrs. Averhart was a member of Greater Freewill Church of God in Christ in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husand, Booker T. Averhart Sr.; her parents, William Lymon and Susie Knight Lymon; a daughter, Minnie Pearl Tubbs; and a brother, Willie Lee Lymon.
Survivors include five sons, Jerry Lee Lymon of Pine Hill, Ala., Jimmy Lee Davis of Knoxville, Tenn., Booker T. Averhart Jr. and Lester Earl Averhart, both of Miami, and Thomas Averhart of Pamona, Calif.; eight daughters, Dorothy Averhart, Ashley Averhart, Tyler Averhart, Barbara Powell, Channetta Johnson, Brenda Moore, all of Gulfport, Linda Weir of Ocean Springs, Mary Brown of Bakersville, Calif.; four brothers, Charlie Lymon and William Lymon Jr., both of Pineapple, Ala., David Lymon and Mike Lymon, both of Mobile; six sisters, Eva Mae Lymon of Baltimore, Marie Lymon of Mobile, Katherine Lymon and Jo Ann Lymon, both of Pineapple, Betty Lymon and Martha Lymon, both of Miami.
A service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Greater Freewill Church of God in Christ in Gulfport, where friends may call two hours before service time. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Biloxi National Cemetery. J.T. Hall Funeral Home in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
