With many old time friends assembling at the chapel of the Nugent funeral service, funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon for Mrs. Myrtella Self, former resident of Chico for many years, who passed away in Oakland after an extended illness.
The services were conducted by Rev. Harris Pillsbury of the Bidwell Memorial Presbyterian church, of which she was a member.
During the service Mrs. C.D. Chamberlain, Mrs. T.B. Rogers, Mrs. W.G. Whitney and Mrs. L.A. Kloor sang: "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" and "The Old Rugged Cross."
The services at the graveside were conducted by the Beulah Rebekah Lodge No. 60, of which she was a charter member, and her final resting place is in the family plot of the I.O.O.F. section of the Chico cemetery.
