Funeral services for A.M. Roberts, who died Sunday morning at 7:30 o'clock at his home near Malakoff, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Malakoff Cemetery.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Cato Sheerer.
The Carroll & Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Roberts, a farmer, was born on April 12, 1859 at Pulaski, Tennessee, and was married to Miss Martha Ann Durett in Giles County Tennessee, on December 14, 1884.
He moved to Texas in 1897, and had resided at Malakoff for the past 44 years. Mrs. Roberts died in October, 1946.
Surviving are four sons, Edgar, Elmer and Bob Roberts of Malakoff and Dunn Roberts of Minden, Louisiana; two daughters, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Jackson and Mrs. Oscar Henderson of Malakoff; one brother, M.W. Roberts of Pulaski, Tennessee; and 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
