"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." II Timothy 4:6-7. A native of Magnolia, Miss., and a resident of Denham Springs, she died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at her home. She was 71 and a retired data entry supervisor for the State of Louisiana. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Friday, Oct. 10, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes on Saturday from 9 a.m. until chapel service at 11 a.m. Interment in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jacob Blaine Switzer; former husband, Jacob Leroy Davis; parents, John and Daisy Goff; sisters, Gertrude Goff Allan and Cornelia Otera Goff; brothers, J.A. "Red" Goff, Curtis Goff and Shine Goff. She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Parr Haney and Kemberly Davis; and a son, Jimmy Lynn Davis. Grandchildren are Briana Grace Russell and Michelle Reneé Brewer. Great-grandchildren are Chelsy Reneé Bennett, Madison Hayleigh Switzer, daughter of Ashley Hill, and Cameron Blaine Pourciau, son of Emily Sarah Wilson. She also leaves behind a brother, James A. "Ned" Goff and a sister-in-law, Joyce Goff; as well as various nieces and nephews. Minnie was a lively, warm-hearted person who opened her heart and home to many "adopted" grandchildren: Vince Miller, Chad Miller, David Temple, Emily Wilson, Tasha Adams, Chip Pourciau, Christopher Moore, Mark Landry, Jody Morris, Mitchell Metrajean and Michael Boyd. Pallbearers will be Ricky Goff, Joey Duvall, Boyd Betsil, Chip Pourciau, Mark Landry and Jody Morris. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Moore, David Temple, Vince Miller, Fever McGee, David Bennett, Lance Morris, Jeff Guillot and Ricky Harrell.
