Daniel Kuykendall
Born January 9th 1841 in Camden County, Missouri near Lynn Creek. He lived in Missouri all his life. In 1862 he was married to Sallie Ann Martin, t this union was born six children three of which died in infancy. He is survived by J. C. Kkuykendall of Billings, D. P. Kuykendall of St. Louis and Mrs. Will George of Fairland, Okla., his wife died in 1874 and in 1876 Dec. 16th he was married to Polina Bailey to his union was born five children, Mrs. Virgil Stacy of Maionville, Mrs. J. C. Carr of Manford, Okla., Mrs. A. B. Carr of Oswego, Kansas, Fred Kuykendall of Republic. He served his country in the Civil War. He was a 1st Corporal in Company B of the 46th Regiment of Miissouri, Volunteer Infantry from which he received an honorable discharge in March 18865. Mr. Kuykendall is also survived by thirthy-six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Baptist church for 50 years. He passed away at his home just north of Republic Monday evening. Funeral services were conductyed at the Baptist Church by Rev. Swadley with interment in Evergreen Cemetery under the ddirection of R. E. Thurman.
