Mrs. Nellie Francis Dies At Girard Hospital

Mrs. Nellie Francis, 57, Pittsburg R.R.2, died Friday night at the Girard hospital where she had been a patient since Sunday. She had been in ill health for several years, serious for a week.

Mrs. Francis was born July 23, 1891 in Clinton, Mo. She moved to this district upon the death of her husband, Charles W. Francis, who died April 1, 1930, in Clinton. She had been making her home with a brother, Leonard Muse, Pittsburg R.R.2.

Mrs. Francis is survived by a daughter, Betty Jo Dorsey, Girard; two sisters, Mrs. Tom Vestal, Pittsburg R.R.2 and Mrs. Fae Watts, Davenport, Iowa; three brothers, Fred Muse, Pittsburg R.R.3, Harry Muse and Leonard Muse, both of Pittsburg R.R.2.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Girard Christian church. Rev. R.C. Libhart officiated. Burial was in the Cherokee cemetery.
