Ruby R. Fox, 85, of 316 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown, formerly of 82 Jamestown Road, Sinclairville, died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday (March 7, 1984) in WCA Hospital.

She was born March 10, 1898, in Kellettville, Pa., a daughter of Boyd F. and Minerva Zuendel Winans.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles Lamb of Jamestown; three granddaughters: Patricia Ruttenbur of Bemus Point, Lucinda Lamb of Ithaca and Barbara King of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandsons: Charles F. Lamb of Falconer and John L. Lamb of Jamestown, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of Franklin D. Fox, a former police detective with the Jamestown Police Department. He died Oct. 4, 1945. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Grace Zettle, Florence Quinn and Ruth Armeda Straughen and three brothers: Vincent, Gordon and Francis B. Winans.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Willard G. Steele, visitation pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
