Charles is the son of Olof Elias (Johnson) Jones and Minnie Christina Johnson. As a young man his family moved to San Fransisco, and then Berkley, California. He baptized his parents into St Paul's Lutheran Church - 1658 Excelsior Ave, Oakland, California.

Charles married Sophia Wilhelmina (Yttergren) Wallin Dec 4, 1894 in Oakland, Alameda, California. The Reverand A. M. Leveau performed their wedding ceremony who was Pastor at that time. Charles gave his residence as San Francisco, California, USA, while Sophia gave hers as Alemeda, California, USA.

Charles worked as a contractor painting houses and working with interior finishing. Charles had an artistic talent with wood -- In later years he made furniture for the family home. He also made art objects from madaron and mandzenety stumps.

He died at the age of 67 years, 10 months, and 3 days. He died at 10pm. He suffered injuries sustained from a fall and Arteriorschlerosis, but died from Acute Mycarditia. He had Arteriosclerosis + Sugar Diabetes. Reference - Death Cirtificate
