Emma took care of her grandmother Ada Brinkley Short for many years after Ada's stroke. Emma married Bill Cox (WT) Mar 10, 1958. Later in life Emma fulfilled her dream of becoming an LVN and worked for many years in a nursing home in San Antonio, Texas.

Emma Lou taught me how to make gravy that a spoon wouldn't stick up straight in it. Good memories of what short times we had together.
