Glywndelene Gail McVay Hopkins went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on Aug. 3, 1945, in Floresville to Roy Charles and Clara Short McVay.

Gail was a Floresville resident for more than 50 years and a former resident of Seguin and Jourdanton. She was a member of Northview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Aubrey Hopkins; brothers Leroy McVay and C. W. McVay; and sister Emma Cox.

Gail is survived by her children, Todd Hopkins and Jana Gandy and husband Bryan, all of Floresville; grandchildren Meagan Gandy, Cameron Gandy, Bailey Goodwin, Bree Hopkins, and Aubrey Hopkins; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.

A memorial funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26, at 4 p.m. in the Northview Baptist Church in Floresville, officiated by the Rev. James McClure.
