Aili M. Kauppi 83, of Calumet, Michigan, passed away at the Houghton County Medical Center in Hancock, Michigan.
She was born in Princess Point on December 16, 1923, daughter of Erick and Helmi (Nikkinen) Palo. Aili attended the Princess Point School and was a graduate of Calumet High School. She was united in marriage to Eino Kauppi on November 30, 1946 and the couple owned and operated Kauppi Taxi from 1947-1956 and Kauppi Oil from 1958-1980.
She was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Calumet.
Her husband Eino died in September of 1980.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers Arthur, Arvi, Erick and four sisters, Sophie, Tillie, Linda and Helmi.
Surviving were two daughters,
