Gospel Advocate Obituary For Wife, Lydia -- Died, in Dallas, Texas, June 12, 1886, Lydia Adaline Rawlins, She was born Sept. 25, 1827; was married to H. M. Rawlins Sept. 20, 1853. In 1842 she obeyed the gospel, and from that time to the day of her death she was a devoted Christian. She was quiet in her manners, hospitable in her home, true and determined in her Christian deportment. Her brother, J. M. Rawlins, of Thorp Spring, preceded her but a few days to the home of the redeemed. June 13th her remains were laid away in the beautiful cemetery near Ten Mile, by the side of her husband who died in 1880. A large number of family relatives and Christian friends were present to attest their love and Christian regard for the faithful one in Christ. "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord." H.
