Obituary;

Owen L. Bailey, 85, a resident of Okmulgee, died Thursday, August 3, 2006 in Okmulgee,OK.
He was born Friday, November 26, 1920 to Henry Clay and Lourena (Talner) Bailey in Preston,OK.
He served in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the Church of Christ at 318 North Grand.
Owen was an avid gardener and loved to attend to his vegetables and keep the neighbors stocked up with his homegrown tomatoes.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Bailey of the home; stepson; John Cunningham of Okmulgee; step-daughter; Dorothy Jean Ross of Tulsa; sister; Opal Berge of Tulsa; three step granddaughters; four step grandsons and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the Church of Christ at 318 North Grand with Jack Shock, minister of the Church of Christ, oficiating.
Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
Visitation will be held Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kelley Chapel.
