OBITUARY;
Services will be held for Henry Clay Monroe Bailey at 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church in Morris with Rev. Dee Williams, pastor of the Nuyaka Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. John Glasgow, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Morris.
Pallbearers will be Bud Mullins, F H.Ferrell, Enos McCoy, Elmer Green, Rufus Morris & Jim Morris.
Interment will be in the Beggs cemetery under the direction of the Buchanan Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1887 in Ardmore Indian Territory. He lived in the Morris area most of his life, where he worked in the oil field as an engineer, pumper and roustabout until 1936 when he opened a grocery store in Bald Hill. He worked at the store until his retirement in 1950.
He is survived by a son, Owen Bailey, Lyons,KA, 3 daughters, Mrs. Hattie Mae Copenhaver,Beggs, Mrs. Mabel Rogers, Barman,OK. and Mrs. Opal Berg, Tulsa; a brother James A. Bailey of Morris; two sisters, Mrs.Cumi Lock, Morris and Donia Knott, Henryetta, 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
