ELMIRA D. TANDY REMINGTON

Born December 20, 1850 near Keokuk, Iowa, and departed this life January 17, 1931, aged 81 years and 28 days.
On September 17, 1868, she was united in marriage to Sheldon Remington who died December 29, l915. To this union nine children were born. Those preceding her in death are a pair of twins who died in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. (Ella)Rosa Essley, who died in February 1921 (buried in McCain cemetery, Logan County).
Early in life she accepted Jesus as her Savior and become a member of the United Brethren Church. She was a great lover of her Bible and read it much.
She leaves to mourn her departure three sons and three daughters. Charles E. Remington of Amelia, Nebraska; Fred O. Remington of Callaway, Nebraska; Calvin F. Remington, of Iliff, Colorado; Mrs. L. W. Lewis of Gibbon, Nebraska; Mrs. O. E. Gentry, of Los Angeles, California; and Mrs. W. O. Headlee, of Alliance Nebraska. Also twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren and a host of friends.
(She was cared for by Mrs. Lizzie Webb during her last illness)
