John farmed all of his life. After Minnie died he moved to Grand View, WA and continued farming there. He was a member of the Seventh day Adventist Church and the Grandview Grange.
He married second to Margaret E. Jorgenson 11 June 1944 Grandview, Benton Co., WA.
He died in the Prosser Memorial Hospital at the age of 81 following a brief illness.
