Ralph R. Ford, 77, of 303 Decatur Street, died yesterday at Baker VA Center where he had been a patient two weeks. Born in Wabash, Ind., he was a son of the late Oscar and Mary E. Ford.
A former employee of textile engineering department of Amcelle Plant of Celanese Fibers Company, he retired in 1953 after 20 years service. He was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Austia B. Ford.
The body will be at the Kight Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. by Rev. Everett W. Culp, pastor of First Methodist Church and Rev. Benjamin B. Bruner, pastor of First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
