Charles W. Sears, 75, a retired painter and decorator, died early Thursday morning, March 11, 1971, in his home on Main Street in Princeville.
Born November 23, 1895, in Lapel, Ind., a son of Wesley and Elzora North Sears, he married Clara Hill December 24, 1919, in Princeville.
Surviving are his widow: one son, Donald of Princeville; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Evelyn) Down of Wyoming and Mrs. Ralph (Berniece) Heinz of Belleville; four grandchildren, Brenda Down of Belleville, Rhonda Down of Wyoming, and Linda and James Heinz of Belleville; and three sisters, Mrs. John (Beulah) Armstrong of Toulon, Mrs. Edwin (Geraldine) Reed of Elmwood, and Mrs. Otto (Hattie) Kneer of Chillicothe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Mr. Sears was a member of the Princeville United Methodist Church and the Princeville American Legion Post No. 248. He retired ten years ago from the painting and decorating trade.
Memorial contributions were made to the Princeville United Methodist Church building fund.
