"Vernon L. Hulburd Services Monday"
"Funeral rites for Vernon Lewis Hulburd, 77, of near Otho, will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Young funeral home in Fort Dodge. The Rev. Leonard E. Deaver, pastor of the First Evangelical United Brethren church of this city will officiate and burial will be in the Otho cemetery.
Mr. Hulburd who had been in failing health for several years died Thursday morning at Lutheran hospital, where he had been a medical patient for about a week.
Born in Otho township March 12, 1870, he was the son of the late Horace and Anna Hulburd. He attended the rural schools of Otho township and was a lifelong resident of Webster county. Mr Hulburd was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church of Lundgren. He never married.
Surviving are a brother, Arthur Hulburd of Otho and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Killam of San Diego, Calif., and Miss Christina Hulburd of near Otho."
