They shared a one-room cabin with his family of 13 others for several months at first. Later he built a cabin for Minnie and then a house. Davis filled an LDS mission to Texas 1900-02 while Minnie managed at home with six young children. He liked to study the scriptures and was sought out for gospel discussions.
