He grew up in Parowan, Utah where his parents had been called to settle by Brigham Young. He married before settling Snowflake, Arizona after a difficult winter’s journey. They shared a one-room cabin with his family of 13 others for several months at first. Later he built a cabin for Minnie and then a house. Davis filled an LDS mission to Texas 1900-02 while Minnie managed at home with six young children. He liked to study the scriptures and was sought out for gospel discussions.
His Death Certificate has 1928, correcting the tombstone.
