Holton - Mrs. Anna Grannell Stachelbeck, 90, Holton, died here Monday in a hospital where she had been a patient six weeks.
She was born March 10, 1884, in the Camp Creek community in Atchison County and spent most of her life in the Holton community.
She was a member of Evangel United Methodist Church at Holton and was a charter member of Lawn Ridge Better Homes and Garden Club at Holton.
She was married Nov 2, 1904 to John F. Grannell, who died Nov. 15, 1932. She was married to Phillip Stachelbeck Aug. 14, 1953. He died Aug 9, 1963.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Roy Thonen, Whiting; a son, Guy Grannell, Holton; two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Spiker, Holton, and Mrs. Addie Murray, Topeka; a brother, Carl Baertch, Holton; Seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mercer Funeral Home at Holton. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at Holton.
