Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Bauder were held Monday, Oct. 26, at 10:30 a.m., at the Methodist Church in Burlington, the Rev. Willis Wisehart officiating.
Musical numbers were provided by Bob and Nelda Hendricks, accompanied at the organist by Jean McPherson. Her grandsons were pallbearers, with burial at Fairview Cemetery.
Minnie Bauder, daughter of August and Minnie Fanselau, was born Dec. 27, 1881 in Philadelphia, PA., and died Oct. 24, 1970 in Kit Carson Memorial Hospital, two months before her 89th birthday.
When she was eight years old she moved with her parents to their homestead northwest of Burlington.
She was confirmed and joined the Lutheran Church in 1896. In 1920 she joined the Methodist Church of Burlington. She was an active member of the church and the W.S.C.S. as long as her health permitted.
On May 8, 1902 she was married to Fred Bauder. They took up a homestead 12 miles northwest of Burlington. To this union four children were born. They lived on their homestead until they retired in 1946. They were the custodians for the Methodist Church for eight years, giving the church loving care in the name of Christ.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1957. She lived alone until 11956 when she moved to Grace Manor Nursing Home.
She is survived by her 4 children, Paul Bauder of Pueblo, Rosina Schaal of Burlington, Albert Bauder of Burlington and Alice Haygood of Las Vegas, Nev.; 2 brothers, Henry Fanselau of Burlington and Edward Fanselau of Denver, 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter and many other relatives and friends.
