Son of Daniel Jasper Dominy and Cynthia Ann Fondren Dominy of Pennington. Quin's father was a Confederate veteran from Henry County, Alabama. Quin married Maggie Nolia Holmes in 1911 while they were sitting in a buggy. They had five children: Elma, Audrey, Mary, M.Q., and Thama Fay.
