Aaron C. Allen, one of the oldest residents of Louisville, died at the residence of his son Henry on Thursday last.

He was born in the Allen settlement in the town of Louisville, November 4, 1812, and has always lived in the town.

The early histories of St. Lawrence county state that Aaron Allen and his two sons moved from Vermont to Louisville in 1800.

They accompanied Nahum Willson, Aaron Allen and son, Ethan Allen, were great-grandfather and grandfather of Henry A. Allen.

The elder Mr. Allen and Mr. Willson each took up a farm and commenced clearing immediately. A crop of corn was raised and in the fall they sowed wheat. The Allens were from Vermont but had resided in Ogdensburg.
