Married April 1, 1912, at Ruskin, Mr. William I. Magee and Miss Mabel E. Dillon. They were married in the presence of C. Roy Bixler, V.D. M., Mrs. C.R. Bixler and Miss Myrl Tidball of Omaha. We rejoice to know to the union of these christian young people and bid them God speed.

Mabel Etta Dillon, daughter of William and Alice Dillon, was born near Ruskin, Nebraska, April 3, 1889. In 1906 she was baptized into the Church of Christ.

On April 1, 1912, she was united in marriage to William Irvin Magee. To this union two sons were born, Vern William and Dwight Wendell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her husband and both sons.

She lived most of her life in the Ruskin area. She spent a few years at Plattsmouth where she worked at the Masonic home. She later moved to Nelson and then to Hastings. She lived at the Good Samaritan Village until due to poor health she went into a care home at the village where she lived until her death November 16, 1973.

She leaves in her passing one brother-in-law, six sisters-in-law, one daughter-in-law, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 19, 1973 at 2 p.m. in the Klawitter Funeral Home at Nelson, with Pastor Victor Schwarz officiating. Burial was in the Spring Creek Cemetery, Ruskin, Nebraska.

Casket bearers were Chester Marr, Alva Sykes, Evon Sykes, Delbert Jeppesen, Elbert Farver and Ernest Ferguson.
