Marvin Lynn Thayer, 87, son of Lovell Orean Thayer and
Alma Gertrude (Jones), was born at Ruskin, Oct. 31, 1907.
He died Thursday at the Superior Good Samaritan Center.
He was educated at District 53 and Ruskin High School.

Aug. 3, 1952, he married Helen Schaaf at the Union Church, Hardy. He lived and farmed in the communities of Ruskin, Nelson, Nora and Superior.

He was a member of the Nora United Methodist Church,
Nelson Masonic Lodge No. 77 and the Tyre Chapter No. 266, of the Order of Eastern Star at Oak.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lois
Snyder; and a brother, Loren Thayer.

Survivors included his wife; one son, Arlo. U.S. Army, Ft.
Bliss, Texas; and daughter, Mrs. Ron Grahek (Iva), U.S. Army, Heidelberg, Germany; three sisters, Mrs. Jerome Kohl (Genevieve), Hardy, Dorothy Corman, Superior, and Mrs. Ivan Troudt(Fern), Nelson, and four grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday at Nora United Methodist
Church, Nora, with Rev. Dale Bussinger officiating.

Burial was in Spring Creek Cemetery near Ruskin.

Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, was in charge of the arrangements.
