Louise Allred Oswald 1916 ~ 2006 Heaven is rejoicing today! Our beautiful and gracious angel Louise Allred Oswald returned to her Heavenly Father June 29, 2006. She passed away in her home with her children around her, which was her greatest wish. She touched and enriched many lives, especially those of her family. Louise was born November 11, 1916 to Lothair and Charlotte Allred. Married Ralph J.W. Oswald June 26, 1936. Together they traveled the world while Ralph served our country as a Colonel in the U.S. Army. Louise is survived by two daughters, Nancy L. Dunfield Salt Lake City; Kathleen Bunnell (husband Duane) Provo; and a son R. Gordon Oswald (wife Sachiko) of Kauai. She has 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, a brother Demar Allred and sister Marilyn Brown. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two granddaughters (Christy and Jamie), sister Edwina, and brother Kenneth. Louise had a wonderful gift of making each person she came in contact with feel that they were the special person in her life, and they were. You could not know her without loving her. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as Relief Society president, Young Women's president, and a teacher. She brought joy to many with her beautiful singing voice. Our thanks to Harmony Home Health and Hospice (Michelle, Adria, Jess and their co-workers) for their tender and loving care. A special appreciation to her granddaughter Deanne for the many hours she spent caring for her grandmother. A viewing will be held Monday from 10:00-11:45 a.m. followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m., both located at the Edgehill 2nd Ward 1889 So. 1700 East, Salt Lake City.
