CAR KILLS KENTUCKIAN
MADISON, Ind. (UP) --- Arthur Aubrey, 69, Carrollton, Ky., was killed Tuesday night when he was hit by a car on Ind. 56 near Brooksburg.
State Police said Thomas B. Letherbury, 24, Aurora, was driving the car. Police said it was snowing and they didn't know if the victim was walking or had fallen on the road.

Man Crawling Along Highway Killed By Car
MADISON, Ind. (AP) --- A man killed Tuesday night by an automobile as he was crawling along Ind. 56 eight miles east of here may been injured previously by a hit-and-run motorist, Jefferson County authorities said Wednesday.
The victim was Arthur Aubrey, 69, Carrollton, Ky. He was killed by a car driven by Thomas D. Leatherbury, 24, Aurora.
Sheriff Harold Raisor said Laurence Roeder, Moorefield truck driver, told him he had seen Aubrey crawling on his hand and knees and bleeding from the nose and mouth before Aubrey was hit by Leatherbury's car, Roeder said he had stopped and was going back to help Aubrey when Leatherbury's car came along and hit the disabled man.
Leatherbury was not held.
The sheriff said part of Aubrey's clothing apparently had been torn off before he was hit by Leatherbury's car and could not be found near the scene of the accident.
