"Mrs. Harriet Seals Buchanan died at her home west of Waynesburg March 22, 1891. She was born Feb. 5, 1817. She was the wife of the late Andrew Buchanan, who died A. D. 1863. She was a woman unusually kind to all whom she met, and has many friends who will miss her. During the last year of her life she gave considerable time to reading the Bible and talking of the future. She expressed herself as willing to go hence. She leaves 8 children to mourn her death. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. J. Meek and on Tuesday her remains were laid to rest in Green Mount cemetery."
