PAMPA - Barbara Baird Bruce, 71, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Trinity Fellowship Church with the Rev. Lonnie Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Bruce was born June 27, 1937, in Mobeetie to John W and Jessie Lea Futch Baird. She married Jerry Bruce on Dec. 20, 1955, in Pampa. Barbara had been a resident of Pampa since 1953. She was self-employed beautician since 1960. Barbara was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Vance Bruce, on Feb. 6, 2000; a brother, Jim Baird; and a sister, Sharon Kay Baird.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Bruce; a brother, H.L. "Buster" Baird of Howardwick; a daughter-in-law, Linda Bruce of Pampa; two grandsons, Ryan Bruce and wife Tracy and Christian Bruce and wife Amanda, all of Pampa; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner St., Pampa, TX 79065; or Trinity Fellowship Church, 2225 N. Hobart St., Pampa, TX 79065.
