Martin V. Wright was a farmer and an ordained minister in Church of God. He was a Civil War Veteran also. He brought his family from Custer Co., NE to Lincoln Co., Oklahoma Territory in 1892 in a covered wagon along with his daughter Mary Earp and her husband Wm. Earp and children. They all settled in N. Keokuk township north of Stroud, but Martin was livng in Union township south of Agra at the time of his death. He married Hannah Ray Pettit 28 Oct. 1858. He died at home in Union Twp. south of Agra, Lincoln Co., OK 24 Feb 1914. Martin and Hannah had 14 children: David Brazille, James Madison, Mary Francis Earp, Charles Wesley, Nancy Elizabeth Ewing, William Bailey, Joseph Henry, Simeon Everette, Sarah Tabitha Predmore, Erastis Eli, Martin Edward, Hannah Etta Wells, John Earnest.We shall meet again. Asleep in Jesus.
