Died, Sunday morning at the residence, South Fourth street, after a two weeks illness of pneumonia, Mrs. S. J. Burnett, aged 67 years, 6 months and 29 days. the decedent was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Thayer of Chatham, Ill. She was born in Chatham on September 2, 1840. She was married to T. T. Boone at her home in Chatham in 1858. After her marriage the couple resided in Chatham until 1865 when they came to this city where she has since resided.

Mr. Boone died on March 7, 1878, and in June, 1883, she was married to Dr. J. M. Burnett of this city. In August, 1883, Dr. Burnett died. The decedent had been a life long member of the Second Presbyterian church.

She is survived by four sons, Martin T. and Harry F. Boone of this city; Charles H. Boone of Chicago and Preston Boone of Princeton, Ky., also three brothers, Martin R. and William Thayer of this city, and Edward R. Thayer of Chatham; two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Hudson and Mrs. Lee Hickox, both of this city. She also leaves five grandchildren.
